SYA Soccer offers scholarships to players who qualify and are in grades K-12. Please review the Scholarship Application form for qualifications. All applications for scholarships must be received before late registration begins. If a player registers after late fees are imposed, the player is responsible for paying late fees. If you are applying for a scholarship, select “Scholarship” as the payment option when registering online.
Beginning with the Fall 2016 season, all scholarship players must pay a $50 application fee. The application fee may be paid by credit card at the time of registration or a check mailed with the scholarship application form. Scholarship requests will not be processed until the fee is received.
Players who provide documentation that they are receiving free or reduced lunch through Fairfax County will be awarded a 50% scholarship for registration fees only (less the $50 application fee). Scholarships are not provided for clinics, camps or all stars. To qualify for a full registration fee waiver (less the $50 application fee), players must provide documentation that they are receiving additional aid through the county, state or federal governments (i.e., Medicaid, housing assistance, food stamps, etc.).
Completed forms should be faxed to the SYA office at 703-815-2180 or mailed to SYA, P.O. Box 471 Centreville, VA. 20122. Once the forms have been received and reviewed, you will be notified of the status of your scholarship. If you have any questions, you can contact the office at email@example.com or 703-815-3362.
