There are 3 referee business and in-service training meetings for each soccer season: FALL 2008 and SPRING 2009. These are mandatory meetings for each referee to attend. ALL REFEREE BUSINESS AND IN-SERVICE MEETINGS ARE 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. AT CENTRE RIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL’S CAFETERIA, 14400 NEW BRADDOCK ROAD, CENTREVILLE UNLESS NOTIFIED OF A CHANGE IN THE MEETING’S LOCATION ON THIS WEBSITE AND EMAIL:
(1) Monday, August 25th, 2008 for Fall 2008 SYA Soccer Referees’ Kick-Off and In-Service Training Meeting at 4900 Stonecroft Boulevard, Chantilly, Virginia from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
(2) Mid-Season In-Service Training Meeting will be late September/early October 2008.
(3) End-Of-Season and Pre-Tournament Meeting will be late October - early November 2008.
Final details for Mid-Season and End-Of-Season and Pre-Tournament Meetings for Fall 2008, as well as Spring 2009 will be announced in late August 2008 when our reservation approval is received from Fairfax County Public Schools.
(4) Monday, August 25th for Fall 2008 SYA Soccer Referees’ Kick-Off and In-Service Training Meeting at: Sully District Government Center, 1st Floor Community Room, 4900 Stonecroft Boulevard, Chantilly, Virginia -- Times: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Referees must attend in person, be in attendance for the entire meeting, and cannot send a parent, child/teen, sibling, relative, friend, neighbor, or another referee as a substitute for these meetings. All referees need to acquire 5 hours of in-service training as part of their on-going training during each soccer season, and also for completing the requirements for their annual recertification examinations. There are NO MAKE-UP SESSIONS for these in-service training meetings, unless inclement weather or meeting location becomes unavailable.
